Introduction to the job
As the Strategy Execution Manager, you will drive strategic and operational alignment between all San Diego sectors and support sectors outside San Diego. You will lead strategic programs, continuous improvement projects, and conceptualize and implement progressive change and transformation initiatives, including strategic partnership collaborations. You will manage staff operations and act as the "right hand" to the Head of San Diego Site.
This role is part of a creative, dynamic work environment that collaborates with supportive colleagues across the organization. There are always new challenges and problems to solve, and working together is the only way to do that.
Role and responsibilities
Drives definition and implementation of the San Diego site strategy; including:
- Deployment at sector level (if support is required by sector heads)
- Management of the underlying breakthrough activities (some leading, others monitoring or participating)
- Communication (ensure each San Diego site leadership team member, and others as needed, are aware of the goals, activities and results)
- Owns and organizes San Diego Management Team (SDMT) meetings, SDMT offsites, and other events, utilizing effective agenda management to maximize meeting times and calendar bandwidth
- Streamlines communication and information flow within the site through management of the communication and organization structures
- Assists with organizational assessments and facilitation of reorganizations within the site
- Drives overarching business processes such as long-term capability plans, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement survey follow up that is cross functional
- Drives operational efficiency and optimization by identifying process synergies and best practices
- Acts as the eyes and ears for leadership regarding site-wide topics, policies, or other global initiatives that impact San Diego
Education and experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree with an MBA, MPA or CSA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience (or equivalent), including Management, Project Management and Change Leadership.
- Must have demonstrated experience in a business leadership role with a focus on executive-level advising, project execution and cross-functional/sector collaboration in a challenging stakeholder landscape.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$159,375-265,625
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
