Charleston Area Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Laryngologist to join our distinguished Otolaryngology team. The successful candidate will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the larynx and voice, offering expertise in both medical and surgical management. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, providing comprehensive care to patients.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of laryngeal and voice disorders, including vocal cord nodules, polyps, paralysis, and laryngeal cancer.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as laryngoscopy, videostroboscopy, and voice analysis to assess vocal function and formulate individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes and rehabilitation.
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, case discussions, and educational activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices within the field of laryngology.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency training in Otolaryngology (ENT)
- Fellowship training in Laryngology
- Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in West Virginia
- Expertise in the diagnosis and management of laryngeal and voice disorders
- Proficiency in laryngeal endoscopy and interpretation of voice assessments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and lifelong learning
