Jewish Home, founded 151 years ago, is committed to enriching the quality of life of older adults of all faiths. The Nurse Manager provides for the delivery of efficient and effective care.
What you’ll do as a Nurse Manager:
- Ensure care provided is consistent with established standards and care is provided in a safe, appropriate, and fiscally responsible manner.
- Supervise and develop staff.
- Oversee 40 bed short-term rehab unit.
- Direct and participate in the development, implementation, and goals of the unit.
- Develop and maintain unit-specific Quality Assurance and Improvement Activities.
- Work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to assure an integrated approach.
- Provide a professional role model.
- Assure that unit operations follow TITLE 22, OBRA, and other regulatory requirements and standards.
- Evaluate staff knowledge and skill with staff development to conduct appropriate in-service training.
- Plan and evaluate programs and recommend changes as needed. Routine evaluates resident care.

For you to be a successful Nurse Manager:
- Current and active California licensure as a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred.
- 3 years of nursing or social work experience in a long-term care environment.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, CMS guidelines and regulations pertinent to completing MDS assessments.
- 1 year of staff supervision experience.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and work on multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
