Position Summary
TheUniversity of New Mexico Health Sciences Center affiliated with the Children’sHospital of New Mexico is seeking 2 full or part time Pediatric Cardiologists atthe level of Assistant/Associate or Full Professor in the Division of PediatricCardiology. Salary, level, and track will be commensurate with training andexperience. Candidates must be boardcertified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and with potential for a careerin academic medicine. A good balance ofclinical and teaching experience awaits the successful candidate in thistertiary care pediatric practice.
This is anexcellent opportunity for applicants with interest in the Southwest region ofthe United States. We are looking for candidates who arededicated to providing excellence in clinical service and teaching. There are opportunities for participation inclinical research. Applicants withtransesophageal and fetal echocardiographic skills are also desired but notrequired. Candidates with a focus onoutpatient cardiology and outreach are encouraged to apply. Excellent mentoring is available for earlyand mid-career applicants by senior Cardiologists and other well establishedPediatric Subspecialists.

Minimum Qualification:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology bytime of hire.
- Able to obtain medical licensures in the state of New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence as ageneral clinical pediatric cardiologist in an outpatient and inpatientsetting.
- Record of Teaching Experience.
- Experiencein transesophageal and fetal echocardiogram.
- Experience providing care in an outpatientcardiology and outreach setting.
- Ademonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and studentsuccess, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
