As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for assessing the current system and providing a recommendation report on the future state that includes design, development, and migration strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design data models that meet the needs of our organization. Job Description
- Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive migration strategy with architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
- Performs detailed assessment of the current database system by determining structural requirements and developing migration solutions.
- Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data.
- Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data.
- Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools.
- Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
- Improves architecture by tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
- Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of the executive team.
- Creates current database system architecture, target database architecture, migration roadmap, and estimates timelines in a comprehensive analysis report.
Qualifications
- Overall 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years prior experience as a data architect or in a data management role.
- Extensive experience with data migration from MS Access database to SQL database using Microsoft SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant).
- Certified Data Architect.
- Experience with software network design and implementation.
- Understanding of data analysis, business principles, and operations.
- Software architecture and design.

- Ability to clearly present technical information to fellow technical professionals as well as non-technical peers.
