Team Overview
The Senior Product Manager, Endpoint IC will lead new product introductions and manage the product portfolio for Impinj RAIN Endpoint ICs. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on growing markets through compelling technology and products. The manager will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams to maximize Impinj revenue, market share, and return on investment for our tag chip products. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a meaningful role in managing a portfolio of industry-leading products in the rapidly growing IoT space.
What you will do:
- Engaging with customer: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the RAIN RFID eco-system. Develop a good understanding of RAIN RFID manufacturing processes and requirements. Support customers in new product introductions and product transitions.
- Develop reference designs for our ecosystem: Define antenna reference design requirements to enable tagging and identification of new item categories.
- Define next-generation tag chip features: Engage with eco-system partners, sales, and engineering to identify trends and needs in the RAIN RFID market and specify product requirements. Develop the value proposition and the business case for new features and products.
- Managing product lifecycle for tag chips: Work closely with sales and operations to define the new product launch strategy. Coordinate early access programs for new products. Manage and drive product changes through the end-of-life.
- Collaborating with sales, engineering, marketing, and operations: Closely work with our global sales and field sales team on key customer engagements, driving and identifying trends in RAIN RFID and product introductions. Work closely with marketing on promotion activities, product communication, and product launch activities.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Electrical Engineering preferred (MBA a plus)
- 7+ years of demonstrated excellence in product management, applications or engineering
- Understanding of wireless / RFID or similar technologies
- Knowledge of the label manufacturing and/or RAIN RFID desired
- Capable cross-cultural communicator able to bridge the gap between languages, cultures, and teams
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly pick up new technologies and become a strong product advocate
- Ownership and accountability. You deliver, for your team, company and customers
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% amount of the time; including international travel
Compensation and Benefits:
The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.
The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $115,000 - $190,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
