Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for chart review and peer review following the guidelines established by the Policies and Procedures Committee. Must review 5 charts per week per clinic.
- Responsible for conducting or delegating peer review of providers.
- Maintains standards for productivity on average seeing 20 patients per day. Ensures compliance with standard by coordinating patient scheduling to compensate for no-show rate.
- Attends medical provider meetings (at minimum, once a month) to discuss difficult patients.
- Maintains adequate provider staffing in the healthcare center to ensure smooth flow of patients. This will include coordination of vacation schedules such that not more than one provider is out on scheduled vacation.
- Maintains provider productivity to standards set by management. This will include counseling staff and troubleshooting as necessary. Further help can be obtained by contacting the Chief of Medicine.
- Ensures attendance of healthcare center medical staff at Friday morning seminars and recommending CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs as appropriate based on peer reviews.
- Reports to Chief of Medicine at medical staff meetings on above mentioned issues.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and decision making involving front office, nursing and case management in liaison with appropriate managers/directors.
- Responsible for the supervision of overall clinic administration.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Doctorate degree (M.D., Ph.D., R.Ph.) or equivalent; or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills High Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability Highest Skills: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) and its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Valid licensure as a medical doctor in the State of Employment. Valid DEA certificate. Certification as mid-level supervisor.
