Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ language.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Experience with consumer product development and Android Platform/OS/Internals.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems, and designing/implementing OS and application runtime components.
- 1 year of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Experience with core Android components like multimedia, graphics, and composition.
- Experience with Augmented and Mixed Reality.

Android Cross-Reality Core Services sit at the heart of immersive experiences, powering the core functionalities of cross-reality devices. We provide essential interfaces for immersive apps, cross-reality experiences, and system UI, ensuring smooth interaction and user experience. Working with the perception and system core teams, the team will transform graphics into actual pixels on the display, spatialize audio, and manage device’s inputs like tracking services, controllers, mouse and keyboards.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Deliver tasks towards goals with minimal assistance from executive team members.
- Write reliable, efficient, and testable software designed to run in environments that span bare-metal to cloud.
- Communicate and align work within affected teams and with cross-functional partners.
- Plan and execute prioritized project work, managing priorities and making progress without supervision.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the engineering team through code, process enhancements, and software development workflow improvements.
