Overview
Steampunk is supporting a government customer that is organized into agile teams working to develop integrated solutions using the Agile/SAFe Framework. Serve as the Technical Lead and Software Architect for a large software development program using Agile, DevSecOps and Human-Centered Design to build intuitive, simple systems. The current technology stack includes front-end web interfaces, web services, server-side business logic batch jobs such as extract-transform-load (ETL), and database backends.
Contributions
- Leverage experience developing software solutions to architect systems using microservice development techniques, containers, domain-driven design patterns to design and build complex software systems.
- Leverage DevSecOps techniques to create resiliency, improve efficiency, reliability, and security of the mission.
- Support systems architecture development and integration, script development, integrated logistics support, configuration management, systems and mission engineering, and life cycle management.
- Demonstrate expertise front-end and back-end languages, cloud architectural constructs as well as cloud-specific technologies.
- Assist the program manager as the lead technical engineer for the program and engage with multiple functional groups (and other contractors) to comprehend challenges and prototype new ideas.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with automating tests for determining quality, security, performance and usability of a system.
- Experience with multiple back-end and front-end languages (e.g. C, C#, Java, Python, Ruby on Rails) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
- Experience with automation tools, including Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, EKS, and Docker.
- Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests.
- Experience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environments.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- 10+ years of experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices.
- 10+ years of experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration.
- 10+ years of experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure.
- 10+ years of experience with database engineering, and manipulating relational and NOSQL databases.
- 10+ years of experience with infrastructure as code environments, including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD.
