The Position:
As Maintenance Supervisor you will lead our maintenance staff within the distribution center. Your team will provide a full range of services including preventative maintenance actions, equipment repairs, and maintain the appearance of all equipment and building grounds.
What you will do in this position:
- Prioritize the daily workload to effectively address issues involving the facility and building grounds including structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, painting, carpentry, outside grounds maintenance, custodial, etc.
- Responsible for the leadership, development, training, and daily supervision of facility and industrial maintenance specialist(s), custodian(s)
- High Knowledge and compliance with occupational safety and health (OSHA) standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued
- Lead a team that repairs miscellaneous distribution center equipment; including forklifts, battery maintenance, power jacks, hand jacks, corporate vehicles, etc. and keep a detailed history log on each piece of equipment repaired.
- Ensure ongoing preventative maintenance for all systems operational in the DC; including HVAC systems, electrical units, lighting, roofing system, generators, parking lots, fans, restrooms and other plumbing systems, etc.
- Lead and mentor team members
Required Qualifications:
- Must certified in at least one of the high knowledge levels listed below, preferably two certifications:
- High knowledge of industrial conveyor systems, mechanically, electrically, and system control.
- High knowledge of battery powered industrial lift equipment
- High level knowledge of industrial electrical wiring
- Knowledge of and experience with industrial equipment and building maintenance
- Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects
- Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Qualifications we would like to see:
- 1 or more years of supervisory experience
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a drug test and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role.
