Position Responsibilities:
The Benefits Intern will support the Benefits Team by assisting with various key responsibilities that contribute to the effective administration and promotion of employee benefits programs. Key responsibilities include assisting with the annual retirement plan audit, organizing retirement and healthcare documentation, updating employee deduction codes, and process enrollment forms for the SIP 401K plan.
The intern will also help with wellness vendor exploration and programming projects such as assessing our weight management programs and supporting fall programming initiatives. This role offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of employee benefits management.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Annual Retirement Plan Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual retirement plan audit, ensuring timely and accurate documentation submission.
- Vendor Database Management: Upload files into the vendor database on a weekly basis, ensuring data integrity and resolving any errors promptly.
- Daily Retirement Plan Audits: Conduct daily audits of retirement plans by updating deduction codes in the database to maintain accurate employee records.
- UltiPro Updates: Regularly update employee start date changes in UltiPro on a weekly basis to reflect accurate employment information.
- SIP 401K Enrollment Processing: Process SIP 401K enrollment forms as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies and prompt communication with employees.
- Military Leave Report Review: Review and process the weekly military leave report, generating letters as applicable and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Employee Termination Guide Update: Update and maintain the Employee Termination Guide, ensuring that all exit procedures and resources are current and accessible.
- Vendor Exploration: Conduct research and review options for weight management programs, including analysis of current vendors and assessment of alternative partnership opportunities.
- Document Management: Organize and audit retirement and healthcare documentation, maintain accurate records and support compliance efforts.
- Wellness Programming: Provide support for wellness initiatives.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
