Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: $21 to $24/hour
Experience:
- Previous experience with basic computer systems is required.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Current unexpired Medical Assistant Certification.
- One-year certificate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Current BCLS/CPR.
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Reviews patient records prior to the visit.
- Ensures that all necessary reports are in place.
- Records vital signs and other measurements accurately.
- Updates all information related to meaningful use and PCHCH requirements.
- Carries out clinical procedures and order as directed by the provider efficiently and accurately.
- Assists in simple wound dressing as necessary.
- Sterilizes, labels and packs instruments as necessary,
- Retrieves and returns calls from patients, staff and other agencies in the community.
Position Requirements:
- Regular and reliable on-site attendance is essential.
- Proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Capable of calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Able to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Skilled in solving problems that involve multiple variables in standardized situations.
Please note: Candidates must be certified from one of the following programs:
- National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
