Are you ready to join our team?The OpportunityPentucket Medical is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Riverwalk location (370 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA 01843). The goal? To provide urgent, same-day visits for patients, provide appropriate evaluation and treatment, and establish needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our brand new Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic located at 370 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA 01843.The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:· Evaluating patients by performing appropriate history and physical exams· Ordering diagnostic procedures such as laboratory, radiological and special studies when indicated· Performing therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, suturing of wounds, foreign body removal, I&D of abscesses, reduction of fractures and dislocations, splinting, casting, and injections· Ordering medication, both in the clinic or by prescriptionWe know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week with convenient hours:· Monday – Friday: 7:30am-7:00pm· Saturday: 8:30am-4:30pm· Sunday: 8:30am-2:30pmAre you ready to bring your talent to this team and join us in driving medicine forward? When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant licensure, experience, skills, and competencies, but also positive attitudes, innovative spirits, and genuine passion for the work.Other qualifications include:Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program which includes clinical training in orthopedicsA minimum of 2 years of experience caring for patients in an Orthopedic settingMassachusetts NP or PA license requiredDEA and state-controlled substances license requiredBLS certification requiredExperience in procedures including suturing and splinting preferredExperience in reading diagnostic studies, including X-Rays and EKG’s preferredMust be able to treat patients independentlyEEO StatementMass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
