Job Summary

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team! As a Radiology Technician, you will be:

Obtaining patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
Preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results while respecting patient ability and comfort.
Applying principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
Performing radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
Verifying informed consent and completing pre and post-procedure documentation.
Assisting licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures. Applying appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed.
Receiving, relaying, and documenting verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record.
Evaluating images for technical quality.
Documenting patient dose exposures.
Professionally interacting with physicians, technologists, physician offices, hospital staff, patient family members, and patients.
Operating radiographic equipment and accessories in accordance with the principles of ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable).
Thoroughly documenting all patient services within a patient’s chart.
Following all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with medical charting desired
Strong attention to detail
