Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience with loan accounting
Active Public Trust security clearance (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

Prepare loan reconciliations and associated journal vouchers
Assist in clearing complex accounts payable, consisting of overpayments of balances or miscellaneous refunds
Provide support for transcripts of accounts that are used for court, payoffs, borrower disputes, and other critical operations activities
Manage incoming items and assign workload out of the action desk to staff
Analyze and properly code a wide variety of requests from internal departments, service offices, and lenders
Review and confirm accounts payable information to ensure that improper payments are not made
Conduct research to validate that transaction posting
Record collections, expenses, and/or journal vouchers
Complete service office requests for loan adjustments
Develop and update desk guides and other process documents
Develop or support executive-level presentations
Provide support for back-office fund administration
Other duties as assigned
Position is hybrid on-site and telework

Under the guidance of an Accounting Manager, the Financial Analysts will provide loan accounting support at the Small Business Administration.
