The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day‐to‐day accounting operations of the company. The position will assist the Director of Finance with timely and accurate information reporting including but not limited to invoice approval, subcontractors’ management, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Communicate with the Project Management Team and other Department Heads for invoices’ approval.
Review and post AP invoices with appropriate coding.
Gather all backup for AP payment selection.
Support AR and WIP reporting as required.
Perform key account reconciliation on a weekly and monthly basis.
Manage subcontractor invoices and payments.
Perform weekly check runs.
Perform troubleshooting as necessary to resolve issues with invoices or vendors’ payment.
Help team members with other ad hoc requests.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
1-2 years of recent relevant experience. Newly accounting graduates are encouraged to apply.
Attention to detail is a must.
Experience in A/P and month-end close process.
‘Can do’ attitude to accomplish goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with computer software, and MS Office specifically Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in accounting for construction is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Work Environment:

Limited general office environment, infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
