Job Summary:

In this 100% remote role, our Billing Manager will oversee and manage the billing and collection processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Responsibilities include managing patient accounting, third-party billing, collections, auditing, compliance of claims billed, denial management, charge master review and maintenance, managed care contract compliance, invoicing, and regulatory compliance. This person has multiple direct reports overseas.

What You Will Do Everyday:

Manage patient accounting, third-party billing, and collections processes.
Oversee patient billing and collections.
Ensure compliance with all claims billed, including auditing and denial management.
Manage compliance with expected reimbursements for managed care.
Ensure invoicing complies with regulatory timelines for payment-related areas.
Define and achieve departmental objectives and compliance with third-party payer regulations.
Collaborate with hospice and clinic resources to improve key revenue cycle indicators.
Ensure nursing home invoices are accurate and sent out timely each month to office personnel.
Establish, monitor, and evaluate productivity standards through regular audits.
Communicate regularly with billing department members to address quality program-related issues.
Ensure timely submission of documents according to Medicare, fiscal intermediary, and payer source requirements.

Background You Need To Qualify And Be Successful In This Role:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years in medical billing and collections in the hospice space is required.
Experience with Wellsky/Consolo preferred.
Knowledge of the healthcare industry and revenue cycle.
Experience in claims submissions for Medicaid and Medicare.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
