Job Title: Senior Accountant – Full-Time Permanent Position Salary Range $80K + up to 20% Bonus

Reports To: Controller

Terran Industries is a distributor of axles to the RV and Trailer industry, working closely with vendors who have manufacturing plants in China. We are headquartered in Lisle, IL.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an experienced Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities:

Accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit policies, collections, fixed assets, and general ledger transactions to ensure accurate books and records.
Various month-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage 13-week cash flow reporting including AR, collections, and AP.
Ensure that bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow up on outstanding reconciling items monthly.
Coordinate and implement new ERP accounting system - D365 Business Central.
Lead and oversee accounting-related projects focused on process improvement, system implementation, and internal controls. Develop project plans, define goals, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting. Prior distribution experience is preferred.
Experience in warranty claims and warranty provision is also preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, along with knowledge of various accounting ERP systems. Experience with D365 Business Central is a plus.
Experience in implementing a new ERP system is beneficial. D365 is slated to be implemented in late 2024.
Skills in quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
Experience at a bigger CPA Firm is highly valued.
