Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour with benefits
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (35 hours per week)

Job Description:

Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is seeking a Secretary and/or Bilingual Secretary to support our Early Intervention Preschool program located at our Commons Blvd building in Reading, PA. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent communication and computer skills. Employer paid Clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
Respond to emails and general inquiries.
Work primarily on referrals for new preschool students, including answering and returning calls.
Serve as a backup to the receptionist at our Education Centre building, if needed.
Perform general secretarial duties such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications:

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work well with staff, parents, and preschool students.
Proficiency in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Team player with a willingness to help where needed.
