Job Position Description:

Position in Columbus area off 313 near Riverside Hospital. Candidate must have own reliable transportation. Team lead is a working position who also oversees approximately 6 team members, and must be able to assist in training and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the team follows the task list for the site and completes all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management experience, including the separation between leadership and team members, and be able to lead a multicultural team. Prior experience required. Hourly rate $18-20/hr, shift Monday thru Friday 4:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Training cleaners on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes, and procedures
Working alongside the team during the night with the area assigned to clean
Overseeing staff performance and ensuring all assignments are completed in accordance with the set task schedule
Training cleaners on task schedules specific to individual areas
Performing inspections and giving constructive performance feedback to team members
Filling in in case of call-offs or no shows
Responding to customer complaints and requests in a timely and caring manner
Ensuring compliance with safety and OSHA regulations
Using proper PPE where required
Ensuring location has appropriate chemicals and supplies, reporting when needed
Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus or use of translator tools required

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs
Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
2 years’ management experience preferred with references
Looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must
Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
Contribute to the overall goals of the company, team effort including being in uniform, dependable, and ability to be confidential, not sharing unnecessary information with team members
Able to work with all cultures
