Job Summary

At Liberty Tax, we are looking to grow our work family with people who like to help other people. We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Professional to join our team. In this role, you will prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and works well with a team.

Responsibilities

Educate clients on the tax process
Analyze income statements, previous tax returns, and other financial records to determine taxable income
Provide sound advice to clients on minimizing their tax obligations
Verify the accuracy of the information entered in the tax software
Communicate with tax authorities when necessary
Conduct a complete interview with tax clients
Provide outstanding customer service by addressing clients' concerns and questions in a timely manner

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Previous experience as a Tax Professional
Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check
