Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing bid lists, securing plans and specifications, generating take-offs and project estimates, providing technical sales support for both the Outside Sales team and respective contractors, and managing projects to ensure profit targets are obtained.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtain and review project plans and specifications to determine specific products and services to be included in a binding estimate per the established guidelines.
Obtain special quotations from manufacturers as required for products while maintaining competitive pricing levels to maximize gross margins.
Coordinate prior approval requests with the engineering services department.
Populate job tracking system with pertinent information including basis of design info, quote values, etc.
Prepare complete and accurate engineering submittals for products being ordered.
Answer application and technical questions as well as general customer service questions from mechanical contractors.
Prepare and generate orders to manufacturers for products being provided on awarded projects.
Manage logistics to ensure product arrives at job site when required.
Maintain proper margin levels and job accuracy to ensure that projects are billed correctly.
Partner with the Outside Sales Force and keep them informed concerning product availability, shipping schedules, and overall job status.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Work cooperatively with others.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
Commercial HVAC project management experience preferred.
Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as the ability to learn job-specific software programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel Requirement:

10% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry-related conferences and training requiring some extended stay.
