Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax compliance and planning, with the ability to manage complex tax issues for our clients. This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide expert guidance on tax-related matters while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Manage general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
Utilize accounting software such as Xero, Quicken, Sage, and other tools for efficient financial statement preparation.
Provide insights on asset management and private equity investments to optimize tax outcomes.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Lead a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and training as needed.

Experience

Proven experience in technical accounting and tax management.
Strong knowledge of financial sales principles and practices.
Familiarity with private equity structures and their tax implications is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members.
Experience working with various accounting software platforms, including Xero, Quicken, Sage, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $129,191.00 - $137,917.00 per year
