Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams, is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive – Internal Audit. The position exists to assist the finance function in proactively supporting the operational and finance requirements of the Company. The position will be on a Fixed Term Contract basis and based in Ranala.

Responsibilities

Execute internal audits to assess the risk and control environments for the company.
Create audit programs and ad-hoc reviews to test and evaluate key risk areas identified.
Prepare and communicate timely observations and recommendations on internal controls of the company with stakeholders and management and follow up on the effective implementation of action plans with agreed timelines.
Manage the trade claims of the company and improve current processes to ensure efficient reimbursement with effective controls.
Identify and initiate projects for cost savings and process improvement in areas identified through internal audits.
Support and advise business functions to design controls and develop policies and SOPs when required.
Ensure internal controls are maintained within all systems used by the company.

Person Specifications

Part qualified in Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA) or CIMA/ACCA.
A Degree in Management/Finance/Accounting will be an added advantage.
2-3 years of experience in handling internal audit, risk, and control with exposure to the manufacturing and FMCG industries will be a definite advantage.
Experience in working with accounting systems and familiarity with SAP ERP would be an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Sinhala. Basic proficiency in Tamil would be an advantage in operations.
Independent/self-motivated individual to work with minimum supervision and a strong team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams.
A willingness to travel within the country when needed.
