Position: Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate position is a full-time position (40+ hours per week) responsible for:

Entering and tracking expenses and purchase orders.
Entering and paying invoices through designated accounting software and obtaining approvals.
Assisting the Finance Director with audit preparation and financial reporting.
Posting and reconciling donations and entering donor assignments into the donor database software.
Performing advanced searches as needed and creating solicitation, sub solicitation, and campaign codes.
Data correction and research as needed.
Expense reporting through expense software and assisting in record retention and other administrative duties.

A qualified candidate is a follower of Jesus Christ, with a servant heart for missions and nurturing believers, and will possess:

A college degree and/or equivalent experience in accounting.
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of business or non-profit experience.
Working knowledge of non-profit accounting and financial reporting.
Ability to analyze, research, and compile proper accounting reports and understand the principles of Fund Accounting.
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, donor database software, and other software programs required to perform accounting.
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Solid understanding of non-profits, with flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.10 - $23.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
