Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing costs associated with the company's operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and providing valuable insights for budgeting and financial planning. This role requires proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and Xero, along with strong skills in general ledger accounting and financial report writing.

Duties

Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in the budgeting process by providing detailed cost analysis and projections.
Perform general ledger accounting tasks including reconciliation of accounts.
Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data for financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports that summarize current financial status and forecasts future performance.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to costs.
Utilize financial software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and public accounting practices.
Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
Experience with general ledger reconciliation and account management.
Excellent skills in budgeting, financial report writing, and data analysis.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work produced.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous experience in a cost accounting role is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $78,899.00 - $83,087.00 per year
