At Dental Associates MN, we're on a mission to provide quality dental care that's affordable for everyone in the community. We value service, collaboration, and creativity. We currently operate three dental practices, serving patients throughout the metro area. Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant. This is a full-time role that will report directly to the Controller and is a critical part of the Dental Associates MN team. The role is an in-office position, located at our Savage practice and may involve travelling to our St. Paul location periodically.

Responsibilities:

Perform account payable functions including but not limited to:
1. Bi-weekly and monthly payroll preparation
2. Management of unclaimed property filings
3. Credentialing for Doctors
4. Monthly bank reconciliation
5. Assist with month end reporting
6. Quarterly sales tax filing
7. Review automated transactions
8. Lead quarterly inventory counts
9. Assist with scheduling in Paylocity
10. Fixed asset and property accounting support
11. Assist various departments with admin support as needed
12. Assistance with tax document preparation for external tax team
13. Assistance with audit and financial statement compilation work

Qualifications and Competencies:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable, payroll or accounting is required.
Minimum qualification of an Associate's Degree is required.
Willing to be flexible and open to learning different functions within the accounting cycle.
Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks and Paylocity experience is preferred, but not required.
Attention to detail and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures.
Effective at managing time and prioritizing responsibilities; able to create systems and streamline work.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience with Paylocity preferred.
Familiarity with multiple company setup.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this role is between $25 to $38 based on experience. This position is Monday - Friday and will be onsite.
