Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Patient Appointment Specialist is to take phone calls for scheduling patient appointments and reschedules. Conducting insurance verifications and referrals are also a part of this job.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter via phone.
Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
Practice urgency at all times with patient's time.
Conduct insurance verifications.
Knowledge of common fees charged for visits.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in a medical office or facility setting (required).

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering phones.
