Summary:

Manage all aspects of the program for adults experiencing homelessness and diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis or co-occurring disorders. This is a management position that requires program design, development, implementation, and overall oversight of the program and approximately 4 or more staff members.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Manages day-to-day functions of all aspects of the program.
Maintains documentation of client interaction via the agency's outcome management database systems.
Collaborates with property management to ensure compliance with Health and Safety policy and procedures affecting program participants, staff, and facility.
Assists with all functions necessary for hiring, orientation, training, discipline, and dismissal of personnel for the Program, in accordance with CaringWorks’ policies and procedures, and that of all relevant regulatory entities.
Maintains systems necessary for ensuring quality services. Monitors all staff’s record-keeping except his/her own (which are monitored by the Quality Assurance Department).
Coordinates all program staff schedules so that all programming needs are met and appropriate services are provided in compliance with CaringWorks and all relevant regulatory entities.
Conducts staffing meetings and team meetings as needed, and at a minimum of once monthly.
Participates in program coordinator’s meetings, business meetings, and assigned committee meetings as needed.
Maintains a small client caseload in the program and/or facilitates groups as appropriate.
Substitutes for other program staff as necessary.
Compiles data and submits reports, including incident reports, as required by CaringWorks and funding sources and regulatory entities.
Coordinates supportive service activities with staff.
Monitors casework activity of all staff assigned to RISE (Director’s casework activity and records are monitored by the Quality Assurance Department).
Maintains relevant interagency resources, exchange of information, and other activities, appropriate for interagency collaboration efforts, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality laws and regulations.
Coordinates and maintains client assistance resources and reporting requirements.
Maintains the program’s budget in compliance with the grant and CaringWorks policies.
This position is a mandated reporter.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of three years mental health and/or substance abuse case management experience.
Experience working with the homeless population is required.
Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field from an accredited school preferred.
At least three years in a supervisory/management position required.
Ability to use a holistic, client-centered approach to recovery and mental health.
Must have experience working with people with mental illness. Preference for experience with substance dependence and/or co-occurring disorders.
Must have provided program planning and development for the assigned population. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting is preferred.
Must pass a GAPS (fingerprint) records check and drug screen.
Active and current Georgia drivers’ license may be required.
An understanding of deaf culture and demonstrating cultural competency and knowledge of the issues relevant to persons with hearing loss is preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work evening and/or weekend hours as needed for crisis.
Strong team/consensus building skills.
Strong and timely documentation and assessment skills.

Required Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to multitask, manage and organize projects, and assist with fundraising projects.
Efficiency with electronic software to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.) and/or Google Suite.
Ability to work with grantors, funders and other collaborative agencies.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with Coordinated Entry and state-agency referral process.
Familiarity with current practices and treatment of identified mental health and substance abuse diagnoses.

Preferred Skills:

Efficiency in Google Docs/Google Drive.
Ability to work with at-risk populations (i.e. chronic illness, mental illness, substance abuse, etc.).
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analytical methods.
Experience with ClientTrack/HMIS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
