Modern Pediatric Dental Practice conveniently located in Fair Lawn, NJ looking for a PT/FT Dental Hygienist, who is friendly, professional and team oriented.

As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to work with children.

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:

Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient.
Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.
Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
Applies fluoride and places sealants.
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene instructions, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions; providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit.

Dental Hygienist Required Skills/ Experience:

Associate Degree or Bachelor in Dental Hygiene required
Current state license required (active)
2+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
Excellent verbal communication skills
Experience working with kids
