PRN - (Day/Nights) Ultrasound Technologist

Beaumont Emergency Hospital TEAM members care for patients presenting with cases from acute trauma to chronic illnesses, lacerations to fractures. This position requires sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of diagnostic Ultrasound techniques to assist in the diagnosis of patient disorders and demonstrates competence when performing other related functions.

To qualify for this position, candidates must:

Have at least one year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech
Complete a Vocational/Technical school
Hold ARDMS and/or ARRT (S) certification
Have a valid AHA BLS certification
Be passionate about delivering Best-In-Class care

Summary: Performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations (including, but not limited to, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, vascular procedures, obstetric and gynecology procedures, etc.). Identifies predictable problems and plans and provides patient care based on the age of the patient served. Positions patients and operates equipment to produce the most reliable and informational data. Performs tests with portable equipment in patient rooms when necessary. May transfer patients as required. Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.
