Description: As a Staff/General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for general accounting functions including maintaining the general ledger and account reconciliations. You will also assist with monthly closings, account analysis, and support the accounting team with additional duties as needed.

Duties:

Prepare journal entries with proper supporting detail
General ledger maintenance
Assist with monthly close, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets
Perform actual to budget variance analysis to prepare commentary on financial statements
Reconcile and problem-solve to maintain balance sheet accounts
Independently research and correct billing, inventory, and tax discrepancies
Support operations inventory tracking and reconciliation
Assist with special projects as needed
Effectively communicate with operational team and management
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting
A minimum of five years of accounting experience is preferred
Ability to work with high volume data and information
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete assignments within deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, other accounting software a plus
Organized and neat with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Flexible approach to accomplishing goals
Positive winning attitude
Strong problem-solving skills: situational awareness, options, and recommendations
Ability to take both an individual and team-oriented approach to problem-solving
Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various internal and external customers
Attention to detail is imperative
